Sealtainn is the Gaelic name for Shetland, an archipelago north of Scotland, at approximately 60° north.
De rocky coasts, wild sea and the endless bare plains really appeals to me. Not to mention the countless birds that interrupt the silence when you walk on the plains and moors.
When I visited Shetland in 2019 It was my first journey alone. It was a very instructive experience. I learned for a example how a colony of Gannets smells, how it feel to photograph Puffins at the border of a 200m high cliff, or that my tent doesn’t like a 6bf wind.
